The Mysterious Hunting “Accident”
It was a peaceful evening, and the kitties were happily playing. Then, out of nowhere, a bug was spotted! Immediately the hunt began. It was going well for everyone involved (except maybe the bug), until the bug took up residence behind a lamp shade. That’s when it happened – a loud crash and the shattering of glass was heard! Everybody fled the scene, including the bug…
The Scene of the Crime
Who is the vicious hunter and culprit behind this broken lamp? The kitties were the only witnesses (and maybe Dad), and the only evidence is the broken lamp. Nobody seems to want to admit to anything, though everyone agrees that it’s pretty suspicious that the bug seems to have disappeared into thin air…
The Lineup
Who do you think is the culprit?
There might be a small prize for the first one to solve the mystery of the broken lamp/bug disappearance! 😉
Sometimes, Cats Herd You says
Those are such innocent faces…except the bug. We think the bug must have pushed the lamp over.
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
The kitties are sticking to that story, that’s for sure… 😉
Patricia says
Group effort. Who wants to be bitten by a mosquito?
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
They do all look guilty…
Playful Kitty says
Hmmm… I have this feeling that the bug did not break the lamp, but probably got away because the lamp breaking startled the kitty that hit it. Which kitty do I think broke the lamp? Hmm…those look like some guilty mug shots. I’m going to say it was Delilah. Just guessing.
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
Delilah is our big hunger, and she does look pretty guilty… however, she is sticking to her story that it was the bug’s fault! We will see…
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
Hunter**, not hunger. whoops!
Kitties Blue says
Oops, that has happened at our house before. Hope no one got in trouble. We know it wasn’t Sampson ’cause even though he is new at Cat Scouts that is hooligan behavior and we know he wouldn’t act like one of those. Based on the look on the faces of those suspected, we are going with Caster. Remember all, stick together…no one confesses unless everyone confesses. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
No, nobody got in trouble. Just thought we’d make a little game out of it. However, everybody is blaming the bug! Unlikely story…
Caren Gittleman says
I say they are ALL innocent! Every one of them! It was Dad’s fault 🙂
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
The kitties are a fan of your guess!! They won’t admit to anything!
The Island Cats says
We think it’s the infamous “Not Me.” He’s been at our house a few times too.
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
Ooooh… “Not Me.” He visits us quite often as well. Maybe it was him…
Susan C. Willett says
When in doubt, blame the bug. I think all the cats would agree it’s the bug’s fault.
This post reminds me of our own mystery that I called CSI: My Kitchen.

That’s the story they’re sticking to! We tried to look at your link you shared, but it came up as “Page Not Found.” Could you try pasting it again? We’d love to read your mystery!
Rascal and Rocco says
Had to be dad! Yep, and he blamed in on the cats. Sad, but common tale
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
MOL! That could be true…
Cary Vaughn says
That was hilarious. The first picture was definitely something out of Paranormal Activity (or, excuse the pun, Cativity).
I am also on BlogPaws, but am really new and still learning my way around the site.
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
MOL, cativity! I am new to the BlogPaws world as well, so I understand! Thanks for stopping by!

We think it was the bug! so nice to meet you all!

Thanks for visiting! It’s great to meet you too! You can view my Thankful Thursday post for the answer to the Mysterious Hunting Accident…

We know it has to be the bug’s fault. Kitties would never do something like that. But Sampson does have a bit of a startled/guilty look on his face. He needs to wipe that off and look innocent. 🙂
We’d like to suggest you put the names of your cats and your blog link in your blogger profile. When you leave a comment, the link leads to a blank profile, with no way to tell who you are or how to find you.
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
He does look a bit guilty, doesn’t he? 😉 Thanks for visiting! And for the tip.. however, I’m not sure what a blogger profile is? Where do I go to fix it?
Audra says
Greatest blog ever…except for the one about Delilah and the sink rock. That’s my favorite.
Kitty Cat Chronicles says
hahaha yeah that is a good one!

Glad no one was hurt. Those things aren’t tasty anymeow
