I’m a bit late getting this post up, but we just recently celebrated two birthdays! Delilah turned 9 on November 8th, and Sassy turned 9 on November 15th. I know I say it every year, but it’s always true… I can’t believe my girls are 9!!! Time needs to slow down, please!
Both girls are doing well and are healthy and happy. I couldn’t ask for anything more.
Delilah’s favorite time of day right now is the afternoon when our students are here for their music lessons. We always put the cats up in our bedroom during lesson hours, except for Delilah. Delilah has the privilege of getting to stay out and have “Deli Time.” If Deli had it her way, she’d be the only cat, so we give her a few hours every day when she is the only cat.
She loves it. She plays with “Owl,” her most prized toy in all the world. She hangs out on the catio. She sits in my lap sometimes while I’m giving piano lessons. And her favorite activity is of course greeting all the students as they come in. She is quite the social butterfly and can frequently be found in the lap of a student who is waiting their turn.
Sassy is a happy girl too. Her favorite time of the day is when business hours are over. Once we are finished with our lessons, we put Delilah up in the bedroom with the other cats and then let Sassy out for the evening. She still refuses to get along with everyone else, and I’ve given up trying. But she enjoys her evening time out in the house, hanging on the catio, or snuggling with us on the couch.
I love these two girls with all my heart and am happy to have gotten to celebrate another year with them both. Here’s to many more!
