A Treat Workout with the PetSafe SlimCat | #ChewyInfluencer

It’s no secret that cats love to eat. The KCC Gang gets fed 3 meals per day at specific times, though if they had it their way, they would get 24 meals a day – one every hour. At least. With treats on the half-hour. Thanks to the strict feeding schedule the cats are on, they are all slim and trim. Though we don’t have any weight issues here, it can never hurt to spice up treat and/or meal time with a fun, interactive toy or game – like the PetSafe SlimCat!
The PetSafe SlimCat is an interactive feeder designed to help your cat “play away the pounds while working for his dinner or treats.” All you have to do is fill the SlimCat with your cat’s favorite dry food or treats and adjust the holes to the desired size, and there you have it! Your cat will smell the food/treats inside and roll the ball around, which will distribute the food/treats through the adjustable openings. It is great for cats who may fall into that 50% of overweight cats, as they have to work to get their food, AND you can easily control the portion of food they are getting.
Even if you don’t have an overweight cat, the SlimCat can still be used to create a more interactive feeding experience. Cats thrive best in environments where they are stimulated physically and mentally, and this toy helps to do just that.
Like I said, none of my cats are overweight, but they enjoyed chasing the rolling SlimCat all over the house. I don’t feed them dry food, so I filled it with some of their Greenies treats and adjusted the holes to the smallest size so they would have to work extra hard to get the treats out. It kept them entertained for hours, and I had fun watching them too.
If you are interested in a PetSafe SlimCat to help your cat lose a few pounds or to create a more stimulating treat time, you can find it here at Chewy.com. It comes in four fun colors – blue, green, orange, or pink. While you’re over at Chewy, be sure to check out their selection of other pet products! They have amazing prices and also offer free shipping on orders over $49. They have an autoship feature as well, which we take advantage of for our monthly supply of food and litter.

We have one of these and really like rolling it around to get the treats out. We’re still working on breaking it open…so far, no luck.

Great review. I love interactive feeder. It certainly gives kitties fun time with reward!
I like that you can adjust the size of holes on this toy!

What a great way to make treat time more interactive! We’re sure the humans think that being able to make the holes in the ball smaller is a great idea, but we are all for easy access to the treats inside….

Great review. We have something similar, but Joanie hogs it until it is empty.

Tat looks like fun! And yums coming out while we play, Super! But here, dog-guy would steal it from us…so we cannot have one. Unless we lock him outside, MOL!

Binga says this isn’t a toy – it’s torture! She does not think she has to work that hard for a snack. MOL

My cats don’t need to lose weight, but I like your idea of a more stimulating treat time!

I wish Lita would play with something like this. I’m sure it would help her lose the pound or so she needs to.
I’m glad your gang likes the toy – I bet it is a lot of fun to watch them play with it.

That was a terrific review…so well written. Some of us actually lost weight this past year, which Mom is super happy about but a couple of us gained. Maybe Mom will try that with our slightly pudgy girls, C.J. and Lisbeth. Astrid, who is in Mom’s lap (surprise, surprise) sends all her love, extra rumbly purrs and a quadrillion kisses to Sampy.
