Sunday Selfies: New Year’s Resolutions Edition

Happy New Year to all of our furiends and followers! As is tradition for the beginning of the new year, the KCC Gang has some New Year’s Resolutions we’d like to share with you, in hopes that you all will help to keep us accountable…

Delilah's New Year's Resolutions

Delilah’s Resolutions

  • Stop waking Mom and Dad up at 6:30 every morning. I will wait until their alarm goes off at 7:00 before I start walking all over their heads. Apparently that extra 30 minutes of sleep is important to them…
  • Share “Mom’s” pillow with her at night. She says I hog it.

Sampson's New Year's Resolutions

Sampson’s Resolutions

  • Stop playing my daily game of sticking my paws underneath Sassy’s door. I know this gets the both of us all riled up, and I need to stop. It always ends with Sassy in a hissy fit, and me all poofed up.
  • Finish learning to play fetch. I like to chase the balls and toys that Mom or Dad throw for me, but apparently they would like for me to then bring the toys back to them.

Sophie's New Year's Resolutions

Sophie’s Resolutions

  • Stop chewing on things I’m not supposed to chew on – shoes, power cords, anything on the floor, etc. Santa Paws left me a chew toy in my stocking for Christmas, so I will start chewing on that instead.
  • Enjoy car rides. Unfortunately riding in the car is an important step in going on adventures (which I love), so I need to work on being calmer and more peaceful when in the car.

Sassy's New Year's Resolutions

Sassy’s Resolutions

  • Stop biting. Mom and Dad want me to be able to be out with the other kitties, and they say that can’t happen until I stop biting.
  • Play more. Supposedly it can be fun.

Caster cat
Caster’s Resolutions

  • Stop terrorizing Delilah. She’s such an easy target, and I love the dramatic reactions I get out of her from simply staring at her, but this is bullying behavior, and Mom says it isn’t becoming of me.
  • Be lovey with Mom and Dad in other rooms besides the bathroom. I don’t like to cuddle much, but there’s just something about them using the bathroom that makes me want to jump in their lap and be cuddly. They seem to think it’s weird though…

Lucy's New Year's Resolutions

Lucy’s Resolution

  • Stop eating poop from the litter box. Enough said.

Now raise your paw if you think any of these guys are going to keep their New Year’s Resolutions!

Yeah… I wouldn’t raise my paw either if I had one…

What about you – do you have any resolutions for the New Year?

Oh I LOooove the resolutions! Now personally, I have to say that Caster, I relate to YOUR resolutions the most. Because I LOooove to terrorize my sisfur Paprika and get “dramatic reactions” just like you do. No one understands how fun this is. All I have to do is stretch my paw out to her and give her “the look” and she hisses. But it’s a good idea to try and stop doing it…Hahahah, MOL…! Signed, Peaches the Cat

None of us have made resolutions this year ’cause we know that we’d break every one of them within a few days. We think Lucy really should keep hers. Mom has added y’all to the blog hop. Astrid, of course, demanded that we use Sampy’s photo. Wishing you all the happiest and most love-filled new year. We love you bunches. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo with a kiss for every resolution made and every resolution ever broken.

Lots of resolutions there. As for snatching treats out of the cat box, good luck! Mom moved the cat box so we can’t get to it to stop that issue at our house. Be careful if it is clumping litter…that would cause major plumbing issues for you, my friend!

Great resolutions! That’s funny…. Lexy is all lovey dovey in the bathroom, too. She insists on lovies before mommy brushes her teeth, and then watches mommy do her makeup. I chew on stuff, too.

The Kitty Army and I wanted to stop by and applaud you & the furbabies for making resolutions. The Kitty Army isn’t into resolutions cause they think they do no wrong. *sigh* Anyway, Happy New Year!

Those are great resolutions, everyone! Sampson, I want Goro to finish learning fetch, too. He is very good at chasing toys but bringing them back is a different story! Sophie, I hope you get to enjoy car ride. You have so much fun having adventure. If you can enjoy traveling part, it’s gonna be even more fun 🙂

Well I think you have some EXCELLENT resolutions there….good luck…..they’re certainly “do-able” but I’ve learned in my many years that if I make a resolution for new year, I am an epic fail at doing it. If I make a “reasonable” resolution – like for instance “EAT MORE TREATS” or “TAKE MORE NAPS” I can definitely handle it. As for anything more responsible – forgetaboutit !!
    Happy New Year

My crew shares many of your resolutions, especially those involving not-quite fighting! They do love to rile up one another, and while I always tell them nice kitties are easier companions, they don’t seem to get the picture. I’ll have to show this post to them!
