Thankful Thursday: Cat Scouts & Mysteries
This week, Sampson joined the Cat Scouts! We are both so excited! His birthday is coming up (March 23rd), and I thought it would be a great gift for him. I just couldn’t wait three more weeks! He is already diving right in and trying to pawticipate in as many things as possible. He has even earned a few merit badges and made some new friends already!
Check him out in his uniform — so handsome.
We are so very thankful for all of the friendly Cat Scouts who have shown Sampson such a warm welcome. So many have extended their paws in friendship, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Also a big thank you to Mau and his mom from The Cat on My Head – Mau has been so very helpful with Sampson’s new adventure, and his mom made Sampson’s uniform picture for us! Thank you, thank you!
Mystery Solved
We are also thankful for the participation in yesterday’s Wordless Wednesday: Mysterious Hunting “Accident” post. This was our first go at having a little contest, and we were pleased with the outcome. We had a few new faces stop by for a visit, so thank you to any and all new followers, and of course to any “old” ones for participating. Now you all must be on the edge of your seat wondering who was responsible for the broken lamp/bug disappearance…
And the culprit was…….. *drum roll please*………
Congratulations to Playful Kitty for guessing correctly!
Now don’t worry, Delilah wasn’t in any trouble. We all just had a good laugh about it. Delilah is notorious for being a ruthless hunter. Though she doesn’t go outside and get a chance to do any “real” hunting, she is always the first one to spot any bugs in the house. If I ever spot a bug before she does, all I have to do is call her, and she comes running to the rescue. As soon as she spots the bug, the bug doesn’t even have a chance. She catches it, bats it around, mangles it enough so it can’t get away but no so badly that it dies, lets it attempt to crawl away, then catches it again and repeats. Anyone else have any ruthless hunters like this?
As for the bug in the lamp shade the other night, well she was hot on it’s trail. When it flew into the lamp shade, Dad might have encouraged her to go after it. Which then resulted in the broken lamp. It was all in good fun! Oh, and for those of you wondering about the mysterious disappearance of the bug? Delilah got it.
