Whenever my husband and I travel, we usually bring along the KCC Adventure Team. Traveling with the cats can be a lot of fun, but it can also be pretty involved and has the potential to be stressful. To make sure our trips go off without a hitch, we always plan well and are sure to pack everything we could possibly need. The first step in our planning? Finding a pet-friendly hotel. Thanks to Red Roof Inn, that search is over!

Why Red Roof Inn?
1. Red Roof Inns are ALWAYS pet-friendly.
There are over 500 Red Roof Inn locations across the country, and they are all pet-friendly. That means we can count on there being a Red Roof Inn in just about any city we would visit. Seeing as we usually bring at least one of our adventure kitties along with us on vacations, having a go-to hotel that is always pet-friendly relieves a lot of the traveling stress.
One their website, Red Roof Inn states that “one well-behaved family pet weighting 80 pounds or less is permitted unless prohibited by state law or ordinance”, and “service animals are always welcome.” If you typically travel with more than one pet though, don’t worry! Some locations may allow more than one – just be sure to call ahead and ask first. We’ve stayed at Red Roofs several times, and each time they have allowed us to stay with multiple pets.
2. Pets Stay FREE at Red Roof Inn.
Many hotels claim to be pet-friendly but then charge some kind exorbitant of pet fee. That’s not very friendly! When you stay at Red Roof Inn, you don’t have to worry about paying extra fees to be able to bring your pet along. Pets of all kinds always stay FREE at Red Roof!
3. Staying at Red Roof is easy on the budget.
When my husband and I go on vacations, we are usually working with a tight budget. We have to plan out our activities, meals, and hotel stay and decide where we want to spend the majority of our travel funds. We usually prefer to spend most of our money on activities and food, while saving on the accommodations. Red Roof Inn makes that easy! Their mission is to offer clean and comfortable rooms as well as attentive guest service – and charge less for it.
4. I can always expect to have a pleasant experience.
Don’t let the fact that Red Roof Inn is a “budget hotel” fool you. They may offer affordable room rates, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t quality. We have stayed at Red Roof multiple times, and each time has been a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Our rooms have always been clean, and the service is always top-notch.
5. Guests traveling with pets get 10% off their stay.

What a coincidence! My human and I will be staying at a Red Roof in Secaucus, NJ this weekend! We will be there as part of the Meet the Breeds event in New York (yes, it’s both a cat and dog event!). It’s been a few years since we’ve stayed at a Red Roof, and we are looking forward to it.

I love seeing dogs in the hallways of Red Roof Inn! And there’s a beautiful lawn for walking dogs opposite gorgeous Lake Washington in New Windsor, NY.
My cat will love the windowsill with the views. My little orange dukes will love jumping on the queen sized beds.
She was a foster failure, a few years ago, adopted her, she just had no one. She is a little pudgy, but I slimmed her down on canned organic green beans and vegan green powder…she’s a little love bug. She was living with a few other cats in a foster room, and all the food was out, so they ate too much.
She will probably live with a young blind child, or a child with a developmental challenge, if that person is ever found. She resembles a dog, she’s not very cat like. I am looking for a whippet or Italian greyhound, I believe in spirit animals.

I remember hearing about Red Roof Inn from other pet bloggers. I had no idea about these extra bonuses. And 10% off extra? Awesome. Who doesn’t like to save money right? Great post.

A friend suggested that a long drive, with Manny, Chili Bruce and Angel might help them reset their minds about being nice to each other…maybe we should take a day trip and stay overnight?!? That’s an idea…
