A Funday Monday Update with Jubilee & Sydney the Sugar Gliders

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything about Jubilee and Sydney the Sugar Gliders, so I thought an update was in order! They are both doing very well, and we actually just celebrated their 1st birthday last month! They are now full grown, and are happy, healthy, and thriving.

They also continue to bond with me more and more. I’d say they are fully bonded by now, though I am still working on getting them to jump/glide to me. I’ve heard the gliding thing takes a long time though, so I am doing my best to be patient. Having suggies definitely isn’t for those who lack patience!

I made my first attempt at clipping their nails last night. I got all the toesies on one of Jubie’s feet, and that is all. They kept balling their feet into little fists, and let me tell you… they have a surprisingly strong grip! I couldn’t get their fists open, though I wasn’t trying TOO hard because I didn’t want to hurt them. I will say that they have the cutest fists I’ve ever seen. ๐Ÿ˜€

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, you can clip their nails with human nail clippers!

Sydney and Jubie continue to melt me with their cuteness, and I look forward to watching them learn and grow. Hopefully soon I’ll have gliding videos to share… keep your fingers crossed!

They really are adorable little kids………I imagine they don’t like nail clipping any more than pups or cats do! Sure will be fun to see them glide to you – I bet they do that soon – they know you so well. Have fun at Blogpaws!

    Love, Pam and Teddy too

Cuties! Maybe it would be easier to trim their nails if they are holding onto a large dowel. Then they can’t tuck their claws into their palm.

OMC…Emily, these two are so cute. It’s as if they almost have human-type hands. I can’t wait to see them gliding. Thanks for sharing these cuties with us. Sorry, I have gotten so far behind in visiting. Love to all, Janet
