Happy 4th Birthday, Caster!
Today is one of my favorite days! It is the 3rd anniversary of the fateful day I found our dear Caster in the woods behind our old apartment. The vet estimated that he was about a year old then, so that makes today his 4th “birthday!”
For anyone who doesn’t know. Caster is our big, surly, trouble-making man-cat. Mudge is his nickname/middle name. It started off as Curmudgeon, then became Mudgeon, then became Mudge. He runs around the house climbing walls, knocking things off the counter, breaking into the pantry, whapping everyone who walks by him, and letting out disgruntled meows that I like to call his war cries. You have to know though, all of this is for show, because at the end of the day when the lights go out, guess who comes to snuggle up in bed and suckle on my fleecy blanket? Yep, you guessed it – Caster. Don’t tell him I told you that, though 😉
So Happy Birthday, my big hunk of Mudge!
