Have a Taste, Share a Bite… #PetGrass!

This post is sponsored by Pet Grass and the BlogPaws Professional Pet Blogger Network. I am
being compensated for helping create awareness about the launch of Whisker Greens but
Kitty Cat Chronicles only shares information we feel is relevant to our readers. Pet Grass is

Have a Taste, Share a Bite... #PetGrass!

There are two reasons our house doesn’t have any plants: one, I can’t keep a plant alive for longer than two weeks; and two, Delilah and Caster will eat any plant they see. For the safety of Delilah, Caster, and plants everywhere, we just don’t bring plants into the house. But what if there were a way to brighten up our home with a little greenery while also satisfying my cats’ desire to munch on the greens. Thanks to Pet Grass® Whisker Greens™, there is!

Have a Taste, Share a Bite... #PetGrass! - Pet Grass LogoWhat is Whisker Greens? We are glad you asked!

Whisker Greens is certified organic wheatgrass that is chock full of nutrients like protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and antioxidants. It is grown from 100% organic seed and planted by hand in real soil. It is then rotated through the Pet Grass greenhouses, receiving the ideal amount of water and sunlight before being shipped right to your door!

It may seem weird to feed cats grass since they are obligate carnivores, but cats actually do snack on grass out in the wild. It aids with digestion. Feeding your cats grass from outdoors can be dangerous though – you never know what chemicals and pesticides it could be contaminated with. Whisker Greens is a fun and safe way to bring the outdoors inside for your kitties!

Not only does Whisker Greens make for a healthy cat snack, it is visually pleasing, AND it’s super easy to maintain! Even this gal with a black thumb can manage it. It arrives at your door fully grown and sealed in an airtight bag for maximum freshness. Once you open it, all you have to do is place it in your home and lightly water it twice a week. If you store it in the fridge when not in use, it will even stay fresh and vibrant for up to two weeks!

Whisker Greens is sold in packs of three containers for a one time purchase of $24.99. If it’s something you think you’ll want more of (which you will!), you can sign up for their subscription service for $22.49 per delivery. The coolest thing about the subscription service is that you get to decide when the grass ships – weekly, every two weeks, every three weeks, or once a month.

Be on the lookout for another post from us in a few weeks about Whisker Greens. We will be sharing more about our personal experience with this stuff and how we have used it to catify our new home (video included)!

I have always wanted to try pet grass. One of our cats loves to eat plants and we have to keep the few plants we have WAY UP HIGH. I assume it is OK for dogs, too, right? Ruby likes to nibble on plants as well.

What a great idea! These look so much better than the grass mom buys at the pet store and I don’t have to wait while she grows it from seed. Love this.

Ah, love this! 🙂 Though Jasmine was always very specific about her grass. She had to find out outside on her own and pick just the right kind and blade. I do use dried wheat grass to add to food.

I get organic grass seeds (oat and rye and barley) online and grow grass for my kitties. I’ve never tried it in the fall or winter, so I’ll be interested to see how your kitty grass does.

We don’t have plants in our den fur the same reason…
That grass does look yummy, we would likely chew it up all at once, with the usual resulting issues, MOL!

    My comment is a question:
Did you cats knock these down? I’d love to get some Whisker Greens, but with 4 large dogs, they have to be kept up high. Thanks!

One of mine does. He actually pulls the greens out of the decorative box and drags it around. He’s a nutter. That could probably be remedied by putting them in a heavier container or something. That would be easy to do I think.

It’s awesome that this grass is already grown when it comes to you – we get next to no sunlight on my side of the building, so growing grass from seed might be difficult. Jewel used to love to eat grass when her former owner let her go out.

I grew my own cat grass many years ago and when I was a one-cat and no-dog woman. My kitty loved it. I’m sure my 6 cats and 1 foster kitten would love me to grow some more, but good grief, I don’t know if I could keep up with their frequent lawn mowing!
