Sophie’s #WobblyWednesday LIVE Periscope Broadcast

August 5, 2015 Leave a Comment

A couple of weeks ago, Sophie and I hosted a Cerebellar Hypoplasia Q&A Session on our Periscope channel. If you’re unfamiliar with Periscope, it is a live video streaming platform. The neatest thing about it is that while you are broadcasting, viewers can comment and ask questions. These comments and questions show up on your screen while you’re broadcasting, making it extremely easy for viewers and broadcaster to interact and engage with each other.

We decided that this was a perfect opportunity to host a Q&A session all about CH for #WobblyWednesday. Admittedly, I was skeptical about how it would go. I wasn’t sure if we’d have very many viewers or if people would actually ask questions. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised. We had a total of 18 viewers, and they were asking questions left and right. We also had a couple of furiends submit questions ahead of time because they weren’t going to be able to make it to the live broadcast. When we finally wrapped things up, I couldn’t believe it when I saw that our broadcast had lasted 27 minutes!!!

Thanks to everyone who watched and participated – you truly made our #WobblyWednesday extra special! Sophie and I had a blast answering your questions, and we hope we were able to shed some light on CH. If you weren’t able to make it to the live broadcast and would like to see it, we have uploaded the video onto our YouTube channel for your viewing pleasure. (I had to break it up into two separate videos, as the video limit for YouTube is only 15 minutes.)

Happy #WobblyWednesday!
