Sophie the Adventure Cat Goes to the Cherry Blossom Festival
Guys! Guess what?! I got to go to a fair yesterday! The International Cherry Blossom Festival of Macon, Georgia to be specific. This festival lasts a couple of weeks and happens every year. This was my first time going though. It was pretty cool! I got to see camels, kangaroos, birdies, and lots and lots of people. Several people came up to me and gave me pets on my head, which is always nice. There were also lost of cool rides. I didn’t get to ride any of them, but I watched them go. The swinging pirate ship was my favorite – I watched it swing back and forth and back and forth and back and… well, you get the idea.
The festival was pretty cool, but I will admit that I got nervous after about 30 minutes. All the people and music and rides were just so loud. I let Mom and Dad know that I was ready to go home by burrowing down in my pocket. They got the message and took me home right away.
Mom says that we will be going on lots more adventures over the next couple of months to prepare me for BlogPaws in May. Even though I do well on all my adventures, she says that BlogPaws is a four day adventure – the longest one yet – so I need some extra preparation. I’m definitely okay with that!
Oh, and guess what else?! Caster took a ride in my pocket yesterday!
It was his first time riding in it, and he really seemed to enjoy it. He only got to go out in the front yard though. Mom and Dad say that they are going to start taking him out on adventures, and if he seems to like them as much as I do, they will get him his very own pocket and then then two of us can go on adventures together! How cool is that?!
Well, furiends, I’m exhausted after my big day. I’m going to snap my sleepy selfie and get back to my nap. Have a wonderfully Easy Sunday!
What a fun outing! But I’m like you, Sophie – I bet I would have gotten a little antsy there after about 30 minutes. My human and I visited a friend who was having a trunk show at a store today, and I enjoyed it lots! It was quieter than the amusement park, so I stayed for a whole hour.
Sohie, I bet you lots of attention when you were at the fair. It looks like you had fun seeing all those other critters. Your mom and dad were good to take you home when you were ready to leave. It sounds like you’ll be having fun in preparation for BlogPaws.

Wow, Sophie, what a fun adventure you had! It must have been exciting to see many animals and birdies…and sounds like you liked pirate ship very much 🙂 It looks Caster rides the pocket very nicely. It’ll be wonderful if you both get to go to places together!

Oh Sophie you look like you had a SUPER time at that festival. The National Cherry Blossom Festival started in Washington, DC too so I think it’s Cherry Blossom time just about everywhere!!! The best part of any adventure is the “after” when you can curl up for a nap though……….

Pee Ess – Happy Belated Birthday to Sampson!
Sophie is lucky to go on so many adventures…. it looks like a Kookaburra in the cage at the Australian exhibit… did you hear it sing? They make a wonderful sound – I usually hear it every morning near the bus stop. There’s also a song about the Kookaburra which we all learn at primary school.
Little Sophie you are doing so well on your big adventures! We know you will do really well at Blog Paws and our Mama will be looking out for you too 🙂

Precious Selfie and the fair looks as if it was oodles of fun. Mom really wants to get a pocket for Astrid, but Dad doesn’t think she’d like it.
