For those of you who saw our post on Monday, The Bread Heist Mystery, you may be wondering WHO the culprit was. WHO could have opened the kitchen cabinet, stolen the bread, and eaten several pieces?!
Let’s revisit the crime scene…
We had several friends who threw out some good guesses…

Good guess for those who thought Caster. He usually is the trouble maker around here.
HOWEVER… the Bread Heister is…
SAMPSON!
He had everyone fooled! What a stealthy kitty.
Sampson actually has a history of stealing bread. He was once found under our bed with an entire loaf. For some odd reason, he has a thing for bread products — bread loaves, bagels, pita, rolls, ANY bread product at all. We do our best to keep all of the breads hidden in unreachable places so that he doesn’t get into them, but as you can see that doesn’t always work out…
Good guesses, everyone! Better luck solving the mystery next time. And there will a “next time” soon!
Also, Caster would like to let everyone know that his birthday is this Sunday. He’s a little bit offended that so many of you blamed him for the Bread Heist, but he is pretty forgiving and would still like to invite you to drop by and celebrate with us. He will be TWO! 🙂
My human says she is never leaving bread out here again! I’m hurt, because this implies she does not trust me, as I hear she always left it out when Sparkle was alive.
Oh, my, Sampson! I never ever thought it would be you! LOL, Caster, you got so many guesses. (Sorry, I was one of them!) Sounds like Sampson really likes bread products. He’s got unique taste fur sure.

We guessed Caster too. None of us like bread, but watch out for left-over chicken! One of us is fluffier than the others, but the stealthy ones who are generally the culprits are skinny! Happy New Year from Skittles, Chocula, Jelly, Bebe, Gabriel and Buddy!
We are so shocked. DId Sampson report this behavior to get his shenanigans demerit badge at Cat Scouts? Astrid is in total disbelief. The thought of him under the bed with a loaf of bread totally cracks Mom up. Oh boy, a birthday party. You know how we love birthday parties. Can’t wait for Sunday.
