The Case of the Cereal Caper: Case Closed
If you caught Monday’s post, The Case of the Cereal Caper, then you know we have had yet another crime on our paws. Who was the guilty cat criminal this time? Let’s recap:
A few nights ago as I was getting into bed, I was disturbed by a bunch of clamoring and banging around in the kitchen. I went downstairs to investigate. As I rounded the corner into the kitchen, two suspects fled the scene. When I walked into the kitchen, this is what I found…
When I opened the kitchen cabinet, THIS is what I found…
Caster is really quite pleased with himself too…
Most of our readers guessed Caster. But only a couple of them guessed Caster with Delilah and Sampson as the accomplices. ConCATs to the first right guessers, Kitties Blue, and honorable mention goes to the second right guessers, The Critters in the Cottage! You have earned the KCC Super Sleuth Badge!
I guess we will be installing child-proof locks on the cabinet doors now!
P.S. For those who guessed Sophie, she can’t climb up on the counters… yet. Lord help us when she figures that out.
Caster, that was an awesome job! But you should have bailed before getting caught!
Oh I was very close! I thought two other kitties were Delilah and Sampson at first, but then thought “well, Sophie keeps amazing us” 🙂
And Caster, he keeps entertaining us, hahaha. Child-proof locks are good idea, though 🙂
Caster does not look repentant or remorseful…as well he shouldn’t! He’s a kitty hero!
I love when cats try to hide but leave their tails out 🙂
And thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great weekend!
Bravo Bravo Caster!!! You make me proud to be a feline!!
MOL MOL
Hugs madi your bfff
That was some mighty fine teamwork!!!
Uh oh…. but oh, we agree with Brian. Such fine teamwork!
Caster, you are unabashedly brave! We would have made ourselves scarce (like Sampson and Delilah did)! 🙂
Caster definitely looks pretty pleased with himself! Reminds of Poe when she runs out the door and had a “I regret nothing!” look on her face when she is capture.
It is impawtant to know the family members (and their traits) when one of our kitties is “involved” with one of your kitties. Tom was just showing me something on Facebook where the cats were wearing signs to “shame” them. One said “I peed on the hamster.” MOL! You need to do that with Caster. We can’t think of a clever way to word the sign but are sure Mom Emily could come up with something good. Lily Olivia loves cereal as did our angel, Steamer. When Steamer was with us, Mom would have to eat cereal standing up in the middle of the room so Steamer couldn’t get it, but one time she leapt from the counter and landed right on Mom’s back while she was eating. Astrid says that she is sure that Sampson had nothing to do with the crime, but responded when he heard noise just as you did. That’s her story anyway. Thanks for the cool award. It’s going on our sidebar. Astrid sends Sampy a kiss for every piece of cereal eaten and not eaten by Caster. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Now that’s teamwork. Lexy is our resident cabinet opener.
Caster! You do us proud! Levon wouldn’t run away either if there was a chance to inhale a few extra grains of cereal before he was caught! Levon loves cereal and will even try to steal it out of the humans’ bowls! Caster you need to come over and teach him how to open cupboards! ;p Thanks for the badge! We added it to our sidebar 🙂
the critters in the cottage xo
We knew it was Caster! But that was pretty sneaky about Delilah and Sampson.
Such a cutie, he does look pleased with himself.
MOL!!
Wow, you three sure did a number on that cereal!
We suppose it’s too late to say he was framed huh? 🙂
well done! You sure stumped me!
