The Case of the Missing Treats

January 25, 2015 44 Comments

Furiends! We need your help again! It seems as if we have a crime spree going on over here. Just a couple of weeks ago we had a Bread Thief on our hands, and here we are with another thief. A different kind of thief, and this one is much, much worse… This thief has turned Kitty against Kitty. This thief is…

A Treat Thief!!!
Photo: The Case of the Missing Treats

Everyone is in an uproar about the fact that SOMEONE broke into the cabinet and ate ALL of the treats, leaving none for anyone else. Normally the kitties don’t speak up about crimes committed here at home – they always have each other’s back and wouldn’t think about turning each other in. This time is different.

Delilah is blaming Caster, Caster is blaming Sophie, Sophie is blaming Sassy, Sassy is blaming Sampson, and Sampson is blaming Delilah. Around and around we go. With everyone pointing paws of blame, we can’t possibly figure out who is truly responsible.

Besides the ripped-up treat bag, there is one other piece of evidence. There was one witness to the crime, and they were able describe the suspect to a sketch artist. This is what they came up with….

So what do you all think? Who is responsible?

or Caster?

We are offering a reward to anyone who may help us solve this crime. Please share any information regarding this crime on our tip line below.

Photo: Bow Tie & Flower Sales

From now until February 14th, 100% of the proceeds made from any bow tie and flower sales will be donated to Catwork in support of the “Real-Life FIV” project they are working on. You can read more about the project in our blog post from last week. The bow ties and flowers make super cute accessories for your pet. If your pet does not wear a collar or would not like wearing one, you can always purchase one for an animal at your local shelter. Who knows — they may help attract the attention of a potential adopter!

Please help us spread the word about FIV and to raise awareness for this misunderstood disease!

Obviously SOMEONE did the crime and should “do the time” but I swear – all those faces look entirely too innocent/cute to be guilty – any chance a passing mouse could have done it?

Each of you look pretty innocent; though, Sophie also looks a little ashamed. Sampson has an “I dare you to accuse me” look on his face. We are quite certain, however, that it wasn’t Sophie. Were there any teeth marks left behind that could be used to identify the culprit? Did you smell everybody’s breath; though, they probably shared once the bag was open? After Sampy and the bread caper, we are going to have to put our money on him; though, Astrid says she is positive he would never do it after the last incident. She has just sent Sampy another note and is sending him a kiss for every star in the sky. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
