The Case of the Serial Shoe Eater: Case Closed
Last Friday, we presented you all with a mysterious case that we needed your help in solving – The Case of the Serial Shoe Eater. Somekitty has been brazenly leaving chewed up shoes lying around the house, with no regard to type or location. This has been an ongoing case, as we have found chewed up shoes on several other past occasions, but it would seem as though the serial perpetrator has recently escalated from an occasional chewer to a spree chewer. Something must be done to stop this criminal!!!
Good news is we were able to solve the case. But before we reveal the culprit, we’re going to do a quick recap…
After a few late night stake outs, bite mark identification tests, and the help of our furiends, we were able to determine that the hardened criminal at work here has been…
That’s right, folks – sweet and not-so-innocent Sophie. She was an unlikely suspect, as she has never been implicated in a KCC mystery crime before (that we know of), yet she is as guilty as they come this time!
Many of you guessed that Caster was the guilty kitty. A good guess, as he has been found guilty in four past crimes. He may be a Ramen noodle eater, a door-frame climber, a bathroom mess-maker, and a cereal stealer, but a shoe eater he is not.
ConCATulations to the first right guesser – Sophie’s foster mom, Rebecca. This is what she had to say regarding the incident: “Sophie was a chewer as a wee tyke, I’m guessing she’s still up to those tricks!” Indeed she is!
Honorable mention goes to Becca C. and LP of Critters in the Cottage, both of whom guessed Sophie as well.
You all have earned the KCC Super Sleuth Badge!
Stay tuned for the next mysterious episode!
