About a month ago, we received an order of Whisker Greens™ to try. (View our original post here.) It arrived on our doorstep fully grown and ready to be snacked on. And let me tell you, some serious snacking has been happening. Actually, gorging might be a more accurate description…
My intention for the Whisker Greens was to create a little cat grass garden of sorts. Having just moved into our first home, I am always looking for new and fun ways to catify it. I thought a cat grass garden would be a delicious and aesthetic addition! After seeing how somecat reacted to the Whisker Greens though, I had to rethink things…
If the Whisker Greens are out, Sampson won’t stop munching. He ate himself sick one time, and then went back for more! Caster is a borderline addict too. So unfortunately, a cat grass garden is out of the question since two kitties don’t seem to have any self control. Instead, I keep the Whisker Greens in the refrigerator and bring them out every now and then for supervised snack time.
Not only have the Whisker Greens been a hit with the kitties, they have stayed surprisingly fresh too! I have to admit that I’ve only remembered to water them twice, and at the three week mark, they have held up extremely well against my black thumb and show no signs of dying. That’s a win in my book!
So… what is Whisker Greens?
Whisker Greens is certified organic wheatgrass that is full of nutrients like protein, fiber, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and antioxidants. It is a natural digestion aid as well. Whisker Greens is grown from 100% organic seed and planted by hand in real soil. It is then rotated through the Pet Grass greenhouses, receiving the ideal amount of water and sunlight before being shipped right to your door! All of these characteristics make Whisker Greens a healthy snack for kitties!
Interested in joining The Club?
Whisker Greens is sold in packs of three containers for a one time purchase of $24.99, or you can sign up for their subscription service for $22.49 per delivery. Sampson, a grass-aholic, I love it!! Jewel really loved munching on grass when her former owner used to let her out. She would have LOVED this!! She would most certainly have become a member of Grass-aholics Anonymous. 🙂

Such a fun review! Certainly seems like a delicious, addictive but healthy product. My cat Nala would have loved it-RIP. Kilo the Pug might even eat it after he ate the cats (he loves to eat).
Dolly the Doxie says
I find it difficult to understand how you kitties go so crazy for a little grass. Maybe that’s because I get to see it all the time? Any way, I’m glad your mom is restricting your access, it looks like a great product for you kitties to satisfy your need to eat grass. Love Dolly
Beth says

Oh boy! I know my cats would 100% love this stuff – they are addicts among addicts when it comes to grass. Unfortunately, I’m just not a fan of cleaning it up, so I don’t know if it would be a good idea in my house or not!
Sweet Purrfections says
Truffle and Brulee were recently introduced to cat grass. Brulee really appears to like it. Truffle is still undecided.
Christie Zizo says
I have had trouble growing the stuff myself. How much sunlight does it need?

I’ve been keeping mine in the fridge, except for when I bring it out for a brief snack time. It’s been 3+ weeks and it is still going strong, so it seems as if it doesn’t need much sun at all!
Elizabeth Keene says
I’ve been seeing lots of good stuff about this grass subscription. 🙂 My cats would LOVE me, but I have 6 and I can’t afford to keep them all grass-fed. (oops) We do grow our own catnip in the garden, though. 😀

Callie the Cat would love this, love that it comes to you as grass and not seeds you need to plant!
