#WobblyWednesday with Sophie, Climbing Extraordinaire

July 8, 2015 29 Comments

Sophie never ceases to amaze me. There is nothing that girl can’t do, and there is nothing that could stand in the way of her doing what she wants to do… including gates! I’ve shared a few examples of her climbing capabilities before – how she climbs the cat tree, how she climbs the stairs, and how she climbs the baby gate. So as you know, Sophie has a history of climbing baby gates…

When we were in Nashville back in May for the BlogPaws Conference, we stopped and visited with my parents, as they live in Nashville. They have three dogs, two of which would not take well to Sophie. Knowing this, my parents prepped the house for Sophie’s arrival. They put two of the dogs in their kennels in the back part of the house, and then put up a DOUBLE baby gate between the kitchen and the living room in an attempt to keep Sophie contained in one area of the house.

No sooner had I walked in the door with Sophie and put her down on the floor than she made a beeline straight for those baby gates…

Needless to say, Sophie could not be contained. And I couldn’t be prouder 🙂

Sophie, you are amazing. Mom and Dad tried this trick with various of of us when we were kittens, and the double stack never worked. But that it doesn’t work with Sophie is amazing and great all at the same time. We say, “You go girl!” XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo

P.S. Yes we are familiar with that nursery rhyme…cocle shells are little shells that look like tiny clam shells; they are quite common…we have them here in Vancouver! 🙂

Oh my goodness! It doesn’t look like Sophie has any trouble climbing baby gates at all, and she sure doesn’t let obstacles stand in her way. 🙂

Don’t ever take Sophie to Mount Everest – she’ll be planting a flag at the top before you put on your climbing boots.
